The Investment Management Association is the trade body for the UK’s £2000 billion asset management industry.  The money managed by IMA members is in a wide variety of investment vehicles including authorised investment funds, pension funds and stocks and shares ISAs.  IMA's role is to represent the industry and promote high standards.

The IMA (formally AUTIF) chose Xtranet to develop their first website in 1997, since then it has been redesigned three times to reflect changes in the association, the industry and the site's audience.  In March 2005 the latest incarnation of this high profile site was launched.  This represented the first top down review of the site since AUTIF (the Association of Unit Trusts & Investment Funds) and FMA (the Fund Managers Association) merged in 2002 to form IMA.

This strategic approach to the development of the new site, facilitated by Xtranet, encompassed a series of workshops to define the objectives for the site, identify its audience groups and their needs and build a plan for its development over the next three years.
