The London Money Market Association was formed in 1997 following the changes in the operations of the money market introduced by the Bank of England at that time. Certain of the larger participants in the market observed that there was a need for a representative association to ensure that information was exchanged and representations made on market issues to the Bank of England and other regulatory bodies.

The Association has grown gradually from 8 to the current level of 26 members.  Members come from a wide area of the market and the association is now represented on most of the more significant money market forums.

LMMA chose Xtranet to design & develop their website.  It includes information aimed at the general public as well as an extensive resources for the associations members.
